Shazam Now Recognizes TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Songs
According to Apple, users can open the Shazam app, tap the blue button, and return to the app they were using to discover the song. Shazam will utilize the iPhone's microphone to listen to the music, even while the other app is in use. After a few seconds, the app will identify the song, and when users go back to Shazam, they will see the song title and additional information.
For a simpler way to identify songs, users can utilize the built-in Song Recognition feature in Control Center. By opening an app such as YouTube, playing a song, swiping to Control Center, and tapping the Song Recognition icon, users can identify the song without leaving the YouTube app. Once the song is recognized, it will appear as a notification or in the Dynamic Island, and users can tap the Shazam app to access more information.
This update enhances the functionality of Shazam by expanding its ability to recognize songs from popular third-party apps. Users can now easily identify music while using apps like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube without needing to leave the app they're currently using.
